The villa is beautiful - looks just like the pictures! Both bedrooms are large and the AC works great. The bathrooms are wonderful and the shower has great water pressure. I live in Manhattan so this apartment felt huge! Perfect for 2 couples or a group of friends. It is easy to find (just tell the cab driver Naughty Nuri's and they will know exactly where to go). My only complaint is that Hugo could have been more responsive, both before and during the trip. I was nervous upon arrival because we got there a tad late and he had not confirmed. We met with the housekeeper who was very nice and responsive, despite the language barrier. We also had a slight problem with the electricity going out but the housekeeper had it fixed in about 30 minutes. Overall I would definitely recommend this villa!

Leuke villa prachtige ligging!!!!!

Beautiful villa, is just as fabulous as the photos suggest. A little bit out of town but still easily accessible and away from the crazy traffic/tourist central. A bit tricky to find so make sure you get clear directions before you arrive. The only negative was that there is a bar nearby that plays music till quite late, however on the other hand there's a good bar just nearby! Hugo was a really helpful host too. Highly recommended

The listing is accurate. The pool is fantastic. The rest of the villa is nice, too, but the real star of the show is the pool. Comfortable furniture and a nice common area to relax in. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. Some excellent restaurants very nearby, and scooter rental places, too. I genuinely didn't want to leave. We stayed for 5 days and we could have stayed for 5 weeks. Overall, a very nice place, just exactly what we were looking for: quiet (the construction I mentioned was pretty much just one guy with a hammer around mid-morning), private (for now), and that pool! Seriously, lots of other listings show glorified bath tubs and call them pools. This is the real deal. It's about 5 feet deep and it gets sun all day so it's a nice temperature all the time.

We had an amazing time at Hugo's villa which is even better than the pictures. Waking up in the morning in the middle of the rice fields with the natural noises from the jungle was a delight. Putri answered all of our questions every time we needed something. Great restaurants very close and places to have a massage. Hugo advised us on a driver who was great. I highly recommend this place.

Nothern - France - June 2015
Very convenient and quiet location, despite the multiples passages of scooters from villas around with the use of their horn as a warning. Huge and beautiful pool. The owner and staff are genuine welcoming. We stay 5 days and could extend our experience more with no doubt. Reservation : kitchen closets awfully implemented on the lower part, make the whole china and glasses carry musty smell, nearly unwealthy must when opening. Overall, we recommend the place.

We had a wonderful stay in Ubud. We were made to feel very welcome, being collected at the airport in DPS which was included in the rate. The villa was very accurately photographed. The 2 bedrooms are not adjoined so be aware if you have kids as they can not get to the to the other room without going through the open air sitting room area. The villa is about a 15 minute walk from Ubud. The pavements in Ubud are not good, so be prepared to either get a taxi (very cheap) or if you can take a baby carrier or pushchair with big wheels (and take your time). I love to walk, so just did it anyway. The pool is ideal for kids as has a big shallow end. The garden is really pretty. The people are really friendly. It is a minutes walk from some excellent restaurants and spas. Ideal for relaxing and family time. The villa isn't super posh, but it is really nice - clean, spacious and the people were lovely. For the price, this villa was excellent value for money and we would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay in the villa, comfortable, quiet and secure. Excellent pool and beautiful lovely lush garden. The bedroom are faced to the garden and the pool. There is a jacuzzy in each bathroom! The Villa is located just a few minutes walk from jalan Sanggingan, just in front of the Museum Neka in the outskirts of Ubud. Ubud center is a 5 min driving or 25 min walking. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops and spas within walking distance. The Naughty nury is at 1 min walking from the villa as many nice places with rice field view. Bintang market is also closed by. You can buy there all what you need. We had very good time. Very good value for money
Srikrishna - Singapore - May 2015
The villa is located in Ubud, and you can be spoiled with options when it comes to food, spas and art galleries. A bit tough to find the place on your own, as there is no clear signs of name, address or any directions. Even the owner himself is a bit confused with the name and I hope that's not intentional. Anyway we had stayed there with young kids, and the property is pretty good. I would have given five stars if not for the aged equipment and lack of any proper maintenance of the property. For example, the bathrooms were in horrible condition when we first entered the place and we had to request a quick cleaning which was done by the care taker immediately. But this shouldn't have happened. The doors are a bit ajar, and locks are pretty old. Beds are comfortable, and we had a good sleep. Overall good experience with the care takers, owner and others. Owner can offer to drive across for reasonable charges so this is something good instead of you ending up on your own. Quick summary.
Sandra - Spain - April 2015
The Villa was a perfect place for 3 couples to spend a nice vacation on Bali travelling around and relaxing on the beach. Made, the housekeeper, is a wonderful person who helps with all requests. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect - having a good restaurant pretty much next door and the beach just a 10 min walk away and famous Echo Beach and Tuggu Beach close by. But also for day trips to central, eastern and northern Bali the villa is a good starting point since you don't necessarily need to go through the Denpasar morning traffic. We would definitely recommend staying at Villa Jalove and are already looking forward to going back there again sometime.
James - United Emirate Arab - September 2015
The villa is in a good spot, has a good layout, a beautiful pool and is certainly comfortable. Location is good for cafes and restaurants. Some are walkable, easy to get car transport to the centre of Ubud. Hugo is very responsive by phone or via AirBnB. His villa manager Nyoman was also very professsional. Room for improvement is provision of the basic things. We arrived at midnight due to the timing of the flight. The water gallon was completely empty, there was no soap e.g. hand soap, no coat hangers. Then the next day we realised there was no bottle opener neither beer or wine nor a can opener or soap for washing up dishes (the latter appeared later). Only 2 glasses and as mentioned in another review the cutlery and crockery is in the bottom of the kitchen cupboards which are a bit grimy and musty. The bathrooms whilst spacious and well laid out could benefit from a least one towel rail in each. Overall it was like camping in a house until we went to the supermarket and bought all
Laurance - Singapore - October 2015
The listing was accurate, I would recommend it to budget travellers who want something nice for or for long term stay. It was nice to have our own place outside the hustle and bustle of ubud. If you want to use the kitchen you need to bring some cooking oil, washing up liquid etc
Royce - Singapore - October 2015
There is much to like about this property in Ubud. The highlights of the property are: the pool, the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, and the efficient AC units in the bedrooms. The location is also nice. It is behind Warung Nuri's (or Naughty Nuri's) a BBQ pork ribs institution in Ubud. The pool was a highlight and so was the location since it was so quiet and tranquil. You can take a short stroll around the back past rice paddies, to a small temple and over a stream to see more beautiful green rice paddies. All the best and enjoy Bali and Ubud!
Stefan - Amsterdam - October 2015
Nice villa, close enough to the city-centre but nice and quiet. The 2-story building mentioned in previous reviews is nearing completion and does overlook the pool a bit In our opinion it could use a good cleaning, the smell from the kitchen cupboards was weird, and when we turned on the jacuzzi the water left a black mark in the tub.
Amaya - NC - October 2015
Wojciech - China - November 2015
The villa is a wonderful place to spend time in Ubud: good location, peaceful, beatiful garden and a large pool. Hugo is a very welcoming and forthcoming host, my friends and I enjoyed our stay in his villa.
Courtney - Australia - January 2016
Villa is true to pictures. Good location.
Monika - Poland - February 2016
We stayed in Ubud for 5 lovely days. The apartment is situated in very calm area in tha back of rice terraces. It is close to the center, approximately 30 minutes by walk ( which was important for us afer all delicious diners which are served in 450 restaurants in this small city
Daniel - United State - April, 2016
My friends and I had a fantastic time at this beautiful Villa in a pleasant and quiet area of Ubud. The pool was amazing both with relief from the heat during the day and great views of the Southern Sky at night. Both bedrooms were exceptional with plenty of space. Depending on the time of day, the bedrooms can get hot with the direction of the sun, but both air conditioning units were extremely reliable. The kitchen provided a great opportunity to make breakfast in the morning and tea throughout the day. Also included was a healthy supply of bottled water from a water cooler. A short (5 min) walk from the villa takes you to a well placed convenience store available with fresh fruits/vegetables and travel needs (toiletries, etc). A short taxi ride into the main parts of Ubud offered easy accessibility to many restaurants, shops, and cultural ventures. I'd highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting a escape to Bali without the heavily trafficked/touristed areas further south.
Rahima - Indonesia - July, 2016
This villa is in a very good location, only a 5 minute scooter ride into the town of Ubud. Close to Bintang supermarket and The Elephant which has amazing food. The villa itself is nice, the bedrooms are spacious and the pool is very big and gets quite a lot of sun. It would have been better though if the beds had mosquito nets as there were a few mosquitoes in the room at night. Nyoman who comes and cleans every day is sweet and does a great job. However, we did have some issues with the electricity running out on numerous occasions, but Hugo usually fixed this quite quickly and on the whole the communication with Hugo was quite good. We would recommend this villa to people who want to stay in a private villa with a big pool but don't have a huge budget, as this villa is not exactly luxurious. On the whole, a good stay and had a great time!
